Thanks to new friends, and please pray for Mike to get better quickly!
One of the most amazing things in coming to Sunridge this fall as their new worship pastor is to meet people like Mike Dalton and his wife. Mike is a product of all that is great about my new church, finding Christ in the back row some years back. He and his wife have been faithful servants who have modeled the values of my new church.
I unfortunately have seen a lot Christians who are cynical and bitter about life and who seem to drag down their church and ministry. Mike is the opposite. He is a raving fan and advocate! And, he is on my ministry team. The likes of Mike and Theresa is what makes my job worth it. How can we make more people like this couple? I am working on that, but in the mean time we just need to appreciate people like them since there certainly are many more like them at our church and probably yours, too.
Mike and his family have led in worship, children, a small group and a weekly ministry to the homeless–sometimes all in one day. They have gifts of hospitality that mean if you are on their team you feel loved.
Mike is sick this weekend. In fact, so sick that he is missing his
slot as bass player and band leader for only the second time in eight
years! Please pray that he gets better, and if you are a part of Sunridge, send you thanks to the Daltons.

I will be praying for Mike, his family, and your ministry.
Thanks for all the prayers, feeling better, good enough to write. Thanks also Rich for the kind words– God has given me a great friend in you and your family for a long time to come.
how’s he doing?
Crystal-Mike is doing better! Not fully recovered yet. Thanks for praying.
I will be praying bro.
