Community is a requirement: my daughter gets baptized with her friends!

Community is a requirement for the Christian life.  The video above is of my daughter and her three friends getting baptized together–Emilie with Tristin and Cianna.  Just look at how they look at each other when they see each other take this step of obedience in following Jesus.  They are following Jesus as Jr. High girls and they are doing a better job of it since they have each other.

This past Sunday night we have a group of related small groups that met
together to take communion–about 45 people in all.  The worship was
not polished and the setting was more like summer camp at the bonfire
than a church.  We heard one share of being healed of depression and
the sweetness of the moment moved through all of us.  This is community.

So, don’t do it alone.  In fact, I cannot see anywhere where our Christian life can be lived alone.  We need each other to follow Jesus!  I love my small group, my church, my family and the brothers and sisters of Christ all over the nation that pray for me.  Who do you have?

I have my family, our core worship team, my youth pastor, our worship leaders, and a few close friends that I know have my back in prayer. Its nice knowing you dont have to do this alone.

Our kids will have a bond together forever. Still makes me cry every time, then again what doesn’t
