Worship Set List May 11: Mother’s Day, “The American Ideal Mother” sketch, and battle wounds

Worshipbnnr

This Mother’s Day packed the house, as I am sure most Mother’s Days do around the “churchland”.  It is the one day mom can say, “Come to church with me” and her kids or spouse or family will.  Greg, our pastor, delivered a succinct and compelling gospel to our crowd.

Americanideal
“The American Ideal Mother” was a sketch written and performed Sunday.
As you can see by the logo, it was a tribute to the “American Idol” TV
show most of us are familiar with.  Simon was played by Jeremy, who I wondered if he even had to act?  The cast was hilarious and the points of the script came through.

One of our cast members had a battle wound–she broke her finger by
slamming it in her car door!  Of course, in our green room we had
medical professionals taping her up and literally sending her on stage
minutes after this happened.  Now, that is commitment!

Here are the songs:

  • Forever – Chris Tomlin
  • Hosanna – Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown
  • Great is Thy Faithfulness – Lincoln Brewter’s arr.
  • Majestic – Lincoln Brewster

How was your worship weekend?

Comments

  1. Peter Park says:

Sunday was good. A lot of people came up to give their testimonies about how they shared Christ with others. It was pretty sweet.

  2. Mike Dalton says:

I had a great time, one of these days maybe we could do a service planned by the worship team, what do ya think? It could be off the hook.
