Should I blog…anyone notice the lack of posts??
Dear Readers, I perhaps have writers block which means a lot is on my mind and some pretty big things are churning up in the cranium. Here is a question for your feedback.
Anyone even notice the lack of posts? If you did and miss something, let me know what you missed.

Who ARE you? Oh yes, my friend that used to blog. I remember now.
Get back to it, mister.
Keep blogging.
I like your blog – not just for the worship related content, but also because you put yourself into it. The fat vids, the hand drawn sketches, the random aside about your life. It’s what makes your blog.
After all it is richkirkpatrick.com
It should be about you.
You better believe that I’ve noticed!
I miss the worship myth busters.. and coffee stuff?
And I’d love to see more stuff about your team!
Don’t worry. I have to take a breather every now and again to regain perspective. It’s healthy, and when you are ready to start writing again, the quality will be the better for it. Just don’t confuse quantity with quality. I won’t think the less of you for writing less. And I think most people here would agree.
We miss hearing your thoughts Rich.
yes. i have noticed. i check on here every day. i want to here more from ya
I think that is just the cycle of blogs… I can think of 50 posts to do all at once and get motivated to write, and then some days/weeks or more, I just can not get it together and post anything. At those points, I think it is better for my readers if I just don’t post.
Would rather post something interesting less frequently than boring stuff every day
of course I noticed…I love the mythbusters stuff of course..and sorry I didn’t comment on the stuff I didn’t agree with…but I will some COME BACK RK!
You blog?
Just kidding.
Rich,
Yeah, I haven’t really noticed you dropping off, but I’ve been gone all week … I have 80 subscriptions (too many) I try to keep up with, but I would’ve noticed if you quit posting for a length of time, for sure. You would’ve gotten an IM from me!
Fred
I have to say that I haven’t really noticed because I too blog in cycles… which means that sometimes I won’t check/write in the blogging world for a week or 2. But then I’m all over it and I write/check like 10 things in one day. (see my posts from Wednesday)
I will say that the blogs I come back to time and time again are the ones that have new content frequently.
So all that to say, yes, keep blogging!
We’re all blogging less and twittering more.
I struggle to write daily. I agree with Chris – twittering replaces some blog topics in a more succinct way. I like your blog because the content is concise and the questions are thought-provoking. I’ve checked several times this week and haven’t noticed any new posts. I just assumed you were on vacation.
I personally enjoy your blog. Let me encourage you to keep writing. I’ve noticed that you’ve droped back to posting very couple days rather than every day… but every couple days isn’t a bad time frame either.
Who said that?
I noticed, and I will keep checking. I enjoy your blog. Keep it going.
oh… what a sad attempt at gaining affirming comments. lol. praying for you, brother.
First of all, I’m really digging the new header.
About your question: Everybody who blogs has occasional lapses where they either don’t have the time or inspiration (or both) to keep up on a regular basis. I’m kind of going through some of that right now. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Keep your blog there, and just post when you’ve got something good to say. Like finding a new coffee blend, for instance.
Wow… Crystal is right, this is sad (perhaps even shameless) attempt to get affirming comments! But, I we will see what the RKWL will bring next. Maybe some changes? Maybe nothing? Maybe… stay tuned.
Dude, get back to blogging. You’ve got a voice in the Church.
I have had to face this many times..especially in the summer with four kids at home. A lot on your mind? ..hmmnn.. weather you blog it or not, I’m sure the Lord is putting the right people in your path for you to share with and encourage. What He puts in our hearts to write is often times translated “full” dimensionally before two dimensionally. The Lord bless your ministry as you serve your Creator. And we’ll all be here still checking in!
I noticed. But, then again, I pray and fast for you every day while reading your blog and looking at your picture. Keep on.
