Jinx! We did I WILL BOAST today too!

My people are catching on.. when we do a new song, the immediately look at the composer--if it's Baloche, they know they are going to love it!

Like your new heading... did you do that?

I'm on sabbatical and I visited a church nearby where a friend of mine is the worship leader. I enjoyed getting to sit in worship as an attender, without leading. Only two more weekends of that though!

It's reminded me of two very important things for us worship pastors:
1) We must be raising up new worship leaders, equipping and sharing leadership. If we're the only one who can do it we've set our entire church up for a single point failure. And investing in other leaders is AWESOME! I highly recommend it.

2) We must be consistently led in worship ourselves. If we can't follow we can't lead.

Those are my two take aways from a slightly different perspective - three months in the pews!

Hey, Rich!
We did This is Our God also (first time for this church plant). We opened with Beautiful Day, then the set was: My Glorious, This is Our God, Glory in the Highest and Indescribable. After the message we closed it up with Let My Words be Few and Unchanging. Pastor Rick showed the Giglio piece on Indescribable God..(the stars/galaxy pictures). People really opened up after when we did that chorus "And, I'll stand in awe of YOU...." it seemed to give them all the voice they needed. It was remarkably more "worshipful".

"I Will Boast" is a great one at our church. "This is our God" is on the "to-do" list for this year.
