In two weeks our 7 year-old is going into 2nd grade, while our 5 year-old is making the leap into kindergarten. Looking forward to having both of our kids at the same school!!

He looks excited to be going back to school--that's great! Wow, 900 kids. I thought our school was big at 500.

Our kids don't come back until next Tuesday, but staff came back this week. We lost a staff member to a tragic motorcycle accident a couple of weeks ago, and we're all grieving that, but so far we've had a great start to the school year. Drew Bledoe's father spoke at our opening staff day and did an awesome job. He's an outstanding educator in his own right. Our school staff is excited and ready to go. I can honestly say that in my 19 years working in and with schools, this is the staff I'm most impressed with.

Hope your kids have a great school year!

Thankfully our children are no longer in school. It's now just me that is in school, for at least 2 more years. Our schools, universities, and colleges don't start up again until September 4th so I have a couple of weeks to relax & chill out!
