Worship VIDEO, Recap & Setlist: September 13, 2009

Recap: Today we had the privilege of pastor Mel Gram teaching. He is near 80 years old and preached today with such conviction and strength. To have a spiritual father like Mel in our church is an amazing blessing. Over fifty years of ministry and the fellow is still going strong!

Our time of singing took a spontaneous turn. I decided that we needed a time of confession to really sing the song “You Gave Your Life Away” and “You Are My King” so I shared that I had to ask forgiveness personally of some people before church started as a way of explaining how we together as a church need to confess.

Of course, I have to note that my daughter helped me lead worship once again. I am amazed how much God is growing her into a worship leader and young woman.

Set List: (as performed by the following)

  • Hosanna – Paul Baloche
  • Awesome Is The Lord Most High – Chris Tomlin
  • Glory to God Forever – Fee Band
  • You Gave Your Life Away – Paul Baloche
  • You Are My King – Passion Band

Great set, Rich! That is so cool that your daughter is involved in worship as well. That’s discipleship, right there!

It is a pretty cool thing to have her lead. It really is her calling.

i like the confession time thing…we like to do that as well, before we start worship we ask people to just be still for a few minutes to get right with God and prepare themselves to praise and worship Him through song…usually leads to some amazing ministry time – confessing to and praying for each other.

    and great setlist too.

Hey Rich! Just curious… why is the brand name and model on the back of your synth all blocked out with black tape? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

I did not like how it looked on our live video screens…to have words under words that people are singing to.

Its a Korg Triton Extreme 88, btw.
