Ideation Conference: a place for humanitarian care givers to sharpen & connect

Having had chance to participate in the groundbreaking IdeaCamp I am convinced Charles Lee and the rest of those putting on the Ideation Conference in Long Beach, CA April 5-6, 2010 will provide an amazing inaugural event! From branding your non-profit to creating grass roots strategy, these two days I believe will prove invaluable to those who endeavor in humanitarian causes.

Gungor “Beautiful Things” a breakthrough musical event

Gungor did a showcase at recreateconference.com, playing their new CD “Beautiful Things” as an entire work. The visuals, textures and performance was mind blowing and a breakthrough for a Christian music and modern worship. Strings, banjo, and glockenspiel might have been gimmicky or cliche but Gungor flawlessly executed tasty arrangements. Everything seemed to fit. It was that good folks.

The event brought tears and gasps as the movements of music painted something truly honest and beautiful–how appropriate given the CD title. The stage version of the CD was a great idea and I hope others get to see the full production. I cannot remember the last time I was equally surprised by a musical experience. I trust the recording may bring some of that same surprise to you.

WorshipTogether.com Training Conference…GIVE AWAY!

I am so happy to announce that I will be teaching a workshop and attending the worshiptogether.com Training Conference, April 12-14 in Lenexa, KS.

In 1999 I remember attending as a younger worship leader one of their training events and over the past several years I have enjoyed getting to know some of the people at this company. Wholeheartedly I can say these people love the local church and this event is designed to equip worship leaders at churches of any size. Even their cost is reasonable.

Some of the worship leaders there include: Leeland, Brenton Brown, Matt Maher, Christy Nockels, Phil Wickham and Audrey Assad. (more…)
