My favorite spot to think is a waterfall hike…what’s yours?

One of my favorite thinking spots is this waterfall hike I used to frequent near Redding, CA. The mile straight uphill was always worth the climb to the cool falls and stream. Contemplation is important, indeed. I am still looking for a new thinking spot since this photo was taken so maybe you can help me out with some ideas.

What’s your favorite place to go to think?

Dieting, weightloss, and learning new routines

chicken_salad

I am happy to have lost over 25 lbs. as of this week. Dieting is not fun, but does not this chicken salad my wife made me look great! It tasted great, as well.

What new routines have you employed this year to help you live healthier?

Targeted marketing, facebook and fat pastors…

fat_pastor_fitnessThis ad (shown in the picture) has been on my Facebook sidebar. In case you don’t already know, Facebook data-mines your info and spits out ads just like Google search–or similar to that. This one cracks me up!

“Get Fit To Preach” with a bald, ripped guy who probably is a model who never heard of parsing Greek in order to preach. Or, if he is a pastor, I bet he preaches from the gym, not just attends the church of gym.

All this to say that I have become soft and am mad the Big Brother of Facebook found me out and reminded me of this on the sidebar of my profile. Thanks, Facebook.

What ridiculous advertisement have you endured on your social media site of choice?
