This morning we had Britt Sipe teach as Greg was gone celebrating his anniversary. (Congrats to him and Robin!). Britt talked about penguins…or, you are just gonna have to listen to the podcast.
My daughter helped lead this morning with me, taking lead on the last part of the worship set and rousing us to celebrate our King with “Sing to the King”. Emilie loves leading worship and it is awesome to see your child grow into leadership in anything, but especially in ministry! (more…)
Worship Recap: Daylight Savings Time and women’s retreat gave us an opportunity this weekend to address what it would be like for 60 or so families to get ready with only dad at home and the rest of us up early. We decided to put coffee and donuts in the services and to give a 10 minute late start. The 10 minutes were really an extended time of greeting and the countdown clock helped. By the time we started singing, people were actually ready. It worked, as far as I am concerned. We made a typically low Sunday feel more energetic and fun. Kudos to Greg and our hospitality and planning teams.
Worship Recap: Greg is still preaching on The Sermon On The Mount, challenging us to be more like Jesus in mercy, thoughtfulness and and to be bold in our prayers. Our music time was complimented with partaking in communion. (more…)
