In the above iPhone screen shot you can see my icon for RKWL! Follow the instructions found the favicon instructions for WordPress on this favicon site (http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/ ) and you too can put your blog on your iPhone and your friends can easily bookmark your blog on their iPhone. If you do not use a favicon, word out is that your can increase the loading of your site if you use one. It helps identify your branding as well.

In fact, those of you who so wish to read my blog and wonder how to find and get to it here is what you do. Go to my blog in the Safari browser (www.richkirkpatrick.com) then press the “+” which will then ask you if you want to put the link on your home screen. Of course, say yes. That’s all.

Its one thing to add links like this to your iPhone. Its another to know that in doing so a cool icon will appear.

Google Earth lets people virtually fly around a 3D view of the world made from satellite and aerial imagery mapped onto the planet’s mountains and valleys. The iPhone version reproduces this core experience, downloading imagery from Google’s servers as the perspective shifts and dotting the map with landmarks, photos, and other information.
