Paul Baloche has been writing worship anthems for the church for years and his new CD “Glorious” releases tomorrow, November 3. Our friends at Integrity Music have put together a pretty cool giveaway for FIVE people out in blogworld. This Release Day Giveaway is a little different – there are five blogs all running the same giveaway and each site will have a winner who will receive a copy of the new CD as well as the worship leader digital songbook.
Here’s a video of Paul Baloche and his band playing the title track from this CD, “Glorious” -
Recap: Today was a bit different in that we had three sermons. Well, we had three elders give a short talk about three events in the last week of Jesus’ life. What was cool about this is that our lay elders got to share today. We sandwiched a teaching about the Triumphal Entry, The Last Supper and The Crucifixion with music, communion and baptisms. By the way, I think about 40 people were dunked today! Also, my daughter helped me lead today. Each time I give her a bit more to grow as a worship leader and she seems to rise to the occasion every time. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to have your family serve with you. My wife was on screen duty today, as well. She does the images and switches the live video IMAG. (more…)
RECAP: This was our third installment of “Change”–Greg brought it home with a challenge about what audience we really are hoping to please: Jesus, or the crowd. My voice was nearly gone due to laryngitis this Sunday, but Ben co-led and did great as did our whole band. I have to say that Mike is the best worship band leader I have ever worked with, including myself. He loves the guys and gals and inspires us with his dedication and passion for worship. (more…)
Worship Recap: Cannot believe its a new month and new sermon series already. Today we began a new series about the Sermon on The Mount entitled: “Change.” We are getting low in the drum area, so I am so grateful for friends in town with Craig of Venture Christian letting us borrow Tyler who did a great job with us today on drums. Talk about generosity and the churches working to help each other. Thanks to Craig and Tyler. (more…)
