Recap: With Greg’s “Game of Life” series we gave another board game out–Clue. John Gaskins also threw baseballs out to the crowd, giving away free Storm tickets for our church outing on July 26. And, once again “Fun-ridge” was the word. I like Sunridge as a name, but FUN-ridge is pretty cool.
In all seriousness, our hope with the worship set was to present how walking with Jesus requires much, but that He is with us all the way! I sure hope folks who sang with us or listened were encouraged by that thought. (more…)
Recap: What a cool life highlight for me to lead worship with both my daughter and nephew this morning. My 16-year-old nephew, Kyle Kirkpatrick, is staying with us for a week and played drums and cello in our worship team this weekend. He did great! Also, Emilie, my 15-year-old daughter, led worship with me as well on vocals and guitar. Part of my vision as a worship pastor is to build up the next generation and that includes my own family, of course! (more…)
Recap: I was in Las Vegas so I hope some of my Sunridge peeps will speak up about what went down. But, my daughter helped lead with Bob and Brent and the video is pretty good! I missed my Sunridge fix, but had a great time at Central Christian in Henderson, NV. At Central they also did Hossana, by the way, and their worship leader Ariel reminded me of my daughter. (more…)
